@OneRepublic among celebrities organizing help for victims of #SandyHook tragedy

Music group, OneRepublic, has set up a fund on Indiegogo to raise money for the families and victims of the tragedy that took place last Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn.

Struck by the tragedy, the band has asked its fans to help reach out to the many people who are suffering immense loss from the mass shooting. Though there will be many benefits and charity events for victims to come in the future, giving money to the families affected by the tragedy is one thing we are immediately able to do to help, OneRepublic said in their call to action to fans.

So far, the OneRepublic Fund for Sandy Hook has topped the initial goal of $50,000 and raised more than $56,000. Fans are able to contribute to the fund through Monday, Jan. 14.
