The simplest gesture can go a long way. Special Olympian Aaron Miller had his day (or maybe his year) made by LeBron James during last night’s Cavaliers-Celtics game. After Miller was honored during a timeout, James made his way over to him to show him some love.
“This game is so much more than basketball,” James told reporters after the game. “He had my shoes on and I designed those shoes for kids with conditions where they’re not able to…tie their own shoestrings. (Referencing the LeBron Soldier 8 FLYEASE shoes released by Nike earlier this year.) When I saw that and I saw his story, I felt like I was a part of him. I was just showing my respect. I wasn’t for you guys. It’s not for the fans, it was for him.”
