Over the last couple of years, we have introduced you to Sole Hope, an organization working on the ground in Uganda to create a jigger free future for children and the elderly.
Sole Hope offers hope, healthier lives, and freedom from foot-related diseases through education, jobs, and medical relief. (Learn more about the story behind Sole Hope here.)
The organization has grown tremendously, including the relocation of the founding family, Dru and Asher Collie and their children from Asheville, North Carolina to Jinja, Uganda. The Sole Hope team opened a guest house on the Sole Hope compound, where they house individuals and families who need extended treatment and education about how to stay jigger free. The growth of the organization means Sole Hope is also outgrowing its current home. The future of Sole Hope is to build on a larger piece of property where more people in Uganda can come to receive hope and healing.
