This week is National Animal Justice Week, and Charlotte Ross, star of TV shows “Glee,” and “NYPD Blud” has partnered with the Animal Legal Defense Fund as a spokesperson to help end animal cruelty.
“As a detective on NYPD Blue, I fought for justice for victims of heinous crimes,” Ross says. “But you don’t need to be an officer of the law to stop abusers in their tracks. Every single one of us can join the fight to stop animal cruelty in our own communities.”
Each day this week, ALDF has posted a new “action” on the organizations’ Facebook page encouraging people to join the campaign to end animal cruelty. A few of the featured actions include:
- Downloading the ALDF Crime Tips app
- Writing a letter to the editor of your local paper to be a voice for animals
- Joining the ALDF monthly giving program
